Getting Medication Without Insurance
Help Anita! I was just recently laid off from work and am taking some important medications that I can not afford. I can’t afford the COBRA plan either…its outrageous! Any ideas for me on how I can get my medicine? ---Cancelled in Charlotte
1 commentWhen is an adoption like a pregnancy?
Dear Anita, my husband and I are adopting a baby in November and my sister-in-law is expecting in December. She has been really great about our adoption up to now but lately has been insinuating that we don't "deserve" the normal attention expecting parents get (baby showers, announcements, etc.) since we are not "real parents". I know this sounds crazy but am I making more out of this baby joining our family than I should? BabysMomma in NY

It isn’t because we are women that we can’t fix a drain or work on the plumbing girls. It’s because we are people who didn’t believe we would ever need to! I’m going to tell you where you can get help and information! The following is a short list (by no means all inclusive) and a very basic idea of how to proceed.

Adoption is expensive! Financing the adoption is one of the hardest parts of the process for most families. And let’s face it…the economy isn’t helping with this. So what are your choices?
Fools in Love - Why We Do It

I wouldn’t presume to ever understand God’s reasons for doing things nor would I try to minimize the frustrations of not having children, but I often wonder if those who get them and treat them badly are miserably failing the lessons they should be learning and those who don’t have any are missing out on the love of children who need them even though they aren’t born into their homes?

I survived my life with my large family by being on top of things, always looking for a better idea, and finding the humor in everything. The by-product of this was learning to be grateful for the little things. Whether your family is large or small or your children are young or teens I'm sure you have your own stories about the dramatic things that became funnier with time.
Do You Regret Who You've Become?
believe if you put together all of those things we really wanted in life but chose to do without, for whatever reason, we would get a very fine-tuned picture of who we really are deep inside. If so, then by our daily choices we are, in essence, telling the world who we have chosen to "appear" to be. Do you regret who you appear to be?
Choose a Career Path - Major Pains!
Declaring a college major? Picking a major seems to be like picking out a car. Pick the right style and the choice brings forth self-esteem and confidence. But pick a lemon and you will most likely stagnate along the side of some dirt road and never get to where you know you should be.
